Intent

This series of presidential portrait drawings was created as an exercise in disciplined observation and tonal control. Rather than dramatizing the figures, the intention was to study likeness, structure, and the subtle psychological presence conveyed through small shifts in value and proportion. By working in graphite, I focused on building form through gradual transitions of light and shadow, allowing the character of each face to emerge through careful modeling rather than stylization.
